When children experience severe emotional crisis or struggle with ongoing behavioral issues, parents can turn to Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health for specialized care. Our highly structured acute inpatient and Partial Hospitalization treatment programs focus on helping children deal with feelings of depression, anxiety, anger and other mood and/or behavior disorders.
We provide inpatient hospitalization for children, ages 4 to 11, who are in a mental health crisis. The treatment programs consist of intensive therapeutic interventions that help assist the child in developing tools they need to cope in the world.
For children who do not require an inpatient level of care, Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health provides a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) as an outpatient service for children, ages 8 to 11. The treatment day starts promptly at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Treatment is different for every child and will last from three to six weeks.
If your child or teen is facing difficulties with mental health, Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health may be able to help. Call 757-461-4565 or Contact Us online today for a no-cost, confidential assessment. No referral or emergency room visit is needed.
